Furkan Keçeli and Mehmet Korkmaz

Furkan Keçeli and Mehmet Korkmaz will bridge the gap between various studio tools and computers to create a dynamic live performance centered on human-computer interaction. Their work will explore human-computer interaction models, transforming these systems into live, performative experiences. In a time when data processing systems are increasingly central to art, this performance will fuse contemporary music with elements of popular music, offering a new way to compose and perform.

The performance will not only allow the work to be evaluated in the same way as a traditional music score, but it will also highlight the potential for transformation through the performer's interpretation and the composer's creative vision. Through this interactive approach, the performance will act as a living composition, continually evolving on stage.

Furkan Keçeli studied at Istanbul Bilgi University’s Department of Music and completed a master’s degree with honors in Composition at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, Belgium. His compositions have been performed by notable ensembles across Turkey and Europe, including SPECTRA, Ensemble Musikfabrik, Camerata RCO, and Oerknal. He participated in the Pasklaar Project’s Belgian tour and worked as a composer assistant for Bushra El-Turk’s opera Woman at Point Zero. Keçeli’s writings have been published by Manifold, Arter, the Istanbul Culture and Arts Foundation, and Mousse Publishing. He also contributed sound design for Gülsün Karamustafa’s Hollow and Broken: A State of the World at the 60th Venice Biennale.

Since 2021, he has been a member of Manifold’s editorial team and continues doctoral studies in Composition at Istanbul Technical University’s Centre for Advanced Studies in Music (ITU MIAM).
